What it is
Erectile dysfunction means repeatedly not being able to get or keep an erection firm enough for satisfying sex. Causes can be vascular, hormonal, neurological, or related to medication or surgery, and they are often intertwined with emotional and relationship factors.
Andrology also covers other aspects of men's sexual health: premature ejaculation, low libido, penile curvature and pain during sex.

- targeted blood tests, for example blood sugar, cholesterol and hormones when indicated
- if useful, a penile Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow
Treatment options

Frequently asked questions
Is erectile dysfunction just a matter of age?
No. It becomes more common with age, but it can also affect young men, often for different reasons. Either way it deserves an assessment, partly because it can signal conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or vascular problems.
What are intracavernosal injections?
A treatment in which a medicine is injected into the penis with a very fine needle to help achieve an erection. The dose is set with Dr. Greco, who also teaches you how to do the injections yourself. They are an option when oral treatments do not work or are not suitable.
Can my partner come to the consultation?
Yes, if you wish. Sometimes facing the process together helps; the choice is always yours.
This page provides general information and does not replace a consultation: every situation needs to be assessed by a specialist.
